Privacy Policy

Version 2 · Effective October 22, 2026 · Broodstock Technologies, LLC

Your business is your business. Full stop. We don’t sell your information, we don’t share it for advertising, and we don’t use it to train AI models. We hold your records only so Broodstock can work for you, and we secure them.

What we collect

How we use it

To run and secure the Service, process payments, give support, run the AI features you ask for, send service emails you have turned on (such as briefs and notices), fix problems and improve the product, and meet legal obligations.

Who helps us run it

We use trusted service providers who handle data only to provide their service to us:

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect rights and safety, or in a business sale or transfer (the new owner must keep honoring this policy for the data it receives).

Government and legal requests

We do not voluntarily hand your records, including your animal and species data, to government agencies. We disclose them only when valid, binding legal process requires it, such as a subpoena or court order. We review each request, push back on ones we believe are overbroad or improper, and, where the law allows, tell you before we disclose.

Your buyers and storefront visitors

Buyer details that reach Broodstock through your storefront or inbox belong to your operation. We process them for you, keep them in your hub, and never contact your buyers or market to them for our own purposes. Your hub’s owner decides how they are used; a buyer who wants their details corrected or deleted should contact that breeder, or contact us and we will pass it on. Deleting your hub deletes them too.

Staff access

We have access to customer hubs strictly for support. We will never access your hub without an email confirmation that you have to approve, and we log our own access whenever we need to enter a client’s hub for any reason. Broodstock staff review messages and requests that Ranger flags or holds, without opening your hub.

Separation between operations

Each operation’s data is separated from other operations’ data by access controls at the database level.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account: it removes your login and every hub you own, with all of their records, photos and documents, right away. We keep a one-way fingerprint of your email address (a cryptographic hash). It cannot be turned back into your email: we cannot recreate or read your email address from it, and it is not linked to any of your records. Its only use is to recognize the same email if it signs up again, so free setup features can’t be claimed twice. Flags Ranger raised for staff review (see Staff access) are also kept after a hub is deleted, holding only short excerpts and a one-way fingerprint of the owner’s email. In hubs you only belong to, records you added stay with that hub’s owner. We keep only what we must for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons (such as billing records), and nightly database backups are kept for 7 days, then deleted.

When a paid plan ends (hubs created on or after October 22, 2026)

If such a hub’s paid plan ends, it stays readable as the Pet plan for 7 days so you can download your data, is then archived (locked, nothing deleted) for 30 days, during which its owner can recover it, and is then deleted with its records, photos and documents. See section 14 of the Terms.

When a hub is deleted at the end of its archive, we may keep de-identified genetics outcomes: the species, the genes recorded for each pairing’s parents, how many offspring were recorded with each combination, and the clutch year. They contain no names, notes, photos, account or animal identifiers, or anything else that links back to you, and are kept separately from any account. We use them only to improve the genetics calculator. We never sell them and never use them to train AI. Nothing is kept when you delete your account yourself.

Your choices

You can access, correct and export your data in the app. You can delete your account and its data yourself in Settings, and you can turn off optional emails and notifications in Settings. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as receiving a copy of your data or asking us to correct or delete it. Email support@broodstock.app and we will respond within 30 days.

Security

We use encryption in transit, per-operation access controls and other safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t promise absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you, and anyone else the law requires, without unreasonable delay.

Cookies and storage

We use browser storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences such as your theme. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Children

Broodstock is not intended for anyone under 18 and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Where data is processed

Data is processed in the United States.

Changes and contact

We will post updates here and tell you about material changes. Questions? Reach us through support@broodstock.app.

Hubs created before October 22, 2026 keep the previous Privacy Policy.
